The Brand
Kundalini is an Italian brand that creates original pieces that are suitable to all contemporary living spaces. To them, light resembles poetry and beauty, functionality and technique, simplicity and character. All in all, Their pieces are timeless with several categories to fit different areas within your spaces: floor, table, suspension, wall. Kundalini specializes in creating pieces with attention to detail, quality, reliability and concreteness. Here, we will be showing you the Kushi Line by Kundalini, which is one of our favorite lines.
Kushi Line
Kushi are skewers used in Japanese cuisine to hold food for grilling and frying, which then became a source of inspiration to Kundalini for the Kushi Line. The pieces emphasize a balance between metal and glass. While, All the pieces in the Kushi Line are Dimmable, with opal colored diffuser made of two layers of round soft glass. Options are unlimited because the metallic rods are available in three coating finishes: black, copper and brass.
The Designers
“The designers of the Kushi line are Alberto Sagggia & Valerio Sommella, whom both graduated from the Politecnico of Milan in 2004, specializing in lighting design and more than 10 years of collaboration with Metis studio. Their experience is strongly linked to product design studios between Milan and Amsterdam. Since 2009, they have been collaborating with the design of objects that relate to the lighting world, combining a technical vision with an aesthetics approach based on formal, material, technological, and functional innovation.”
Kushi Floor
Inspired by the traditional Japanese skewer, this lamp is made up of three slim rods and three glass diffusers that are intertwined. Resembles elegance for commercial and domestic atmospheres.

A long, metal rod pierces the soft round glass diffuser. Evoking intensity with the purest of shapes which allows sophistication and a discrete presence within any space.

Kushi XL Table
A bigger version of the Kushi Table allows a perfect contrast between shapes and materials. Yet it amplifies the sensation of balance and purity, with a longer metal rod appearing from below the soft-glass diffuser.

Kushi Mobile
The cutest and more versatile piece in the entire line would be the Kushi Mobile. Although simple, it has a very strong presence, due to the opposing yet mutual relationship between the rigid metal rod and the soft glass diffuser. The Kushi Mobile is rechargeable, and due to its mini size, very easy to carry between spaces.
